SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL PARAGLIDING CHAMPIONSHIP:

BARBERTON OPEN

Lowveld Slope Soaring Club cordially invites you to join the South African National Championships and second round of the 2008 South African National Paragliding Cup to be held at BARBERTON from Sunday, 14th to Saturday , 20th June 2009.

OBJECTIVE:

· To declare a South African National Paragliding Champion,

· To declare 2nd Round South African Paragliding Cup Champion for each class (N, I, Sp, Se, O, Female and Tandem)

· To accumulate points towards National and International ranking.

· To have a fun filled and enjoyable event.

Registration will take place at the Barberton Golf Club on Saturday, 13th from 18H00 – 20H00 and on Sunday, 14th from 08H00 – 09H15.

A competition briefing will be held at the Golf Club at 09H30 where the task committee will be elected.

The pilot briefing will be done on the mountain.

Daily registration will take place from 08H00 – 10H00 every morning for registration at the golf club. Please pre-register on the form provided on our website www.flylssc.com .

The competition rules will be handed over during registration and is available on the internet at www.flylssc.com . Pilots are advised to familiarize themselves with the competitions rules prior to the pilots briefing. There will be medical assistance on stand-by. GPS’s are required for scoring. All the other rules regarding equipment, radio and reserve still apply.

Transport to and from take-off will be limited to the arranged trucks. Limited permits for private vehicle access to take-off can be issued on special request on a fee basis for the duration of the comp @ R100/day.

Recovery from out landing is arranged with the NTT Toyota recovery teams.

Entry fees are payable as follows:

Daily Fees @ R300-00 per day for the first day and R200-00 per day for successive days. Early Bird @ R750-00 if registered and paid up before 28th May 2009. At Registration – R850-00 for full 7 days. A weekend special will be announced shortly.
