Description of establishment:

Mantongomane Lodge is situated in the valley close to Barberton slightly elevated with spectacular views of the Makhonjwa Mountains bordering Swaziland.

A few kilometers of gravel road past one of the biggest macadamia plantations to be, brings you the turn off to the lodge at the big tree. On the way up to the lodge be sure to take a deep breath of fresh air to kick start the rejuvenation of your body and soul. As the road turns to the right you will be driving next to the 20 year old Pecan nut forest on your left, the perfect spot to go hunting for nuts.

The lodge has a variety of accommodation available, the majority of the lodge is made up of 16 rooms with on suite bathrooms. If you are looking for a bit more flexibility then one of the 3 fully self catering chalets will be ideal.

On a tight budget and don't mind sharing then there is a Backparkers with private rooms and communal bathrooms, ideal for groups.

Besides the above we also cater for the nature lovers with camping facilities next to the river, there is an ablution block with toilets showers and hot water.

At the lodge there is a beautiful pool to cool down from the hot lowveld sun and a restaurant with a huge outside deck overlooking the valley where spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed.

Further more ther are Conference facilities and a huge entertainment hall to cater for those special celebrations!

The Boma built next to the river around a huge Tree makes for an exellent outdoor "Kuier".
